Forbort, Grimaldi, Miller Invited To Camp

Three Sioux players have been invited to attend the U.S. World Junior evaluation camp this summer — sophomore defenseman Derek Forbort and freshman forwards Rocco Grimaldi and J.T. Miller.

Forbort was a member of the U.S. squad that took bronze last year.

The camp will be held Aug. 6-13 in Lake Placid, N.Y. The initial roster will be announced in December and participants will have to win a roster spot at that camp.

The tournament is scheduled for Dec. 26-Jan. 5 in Edmonton and Calgary.

The only series scheduled during the tournament is a home set against Harvard.

    1. Not sure where to put it. But this is it:

F: Knight, Kristo, Nelson, Lamoureux, Rodwell, Rowney, Dickin, Grimaldi, Miller, MacMillan, O’Donnell, St. Clair, Parks, Di Puma, and possibly a late additional recruit.

D: Blood, MacWilliam, Forbort, Simpson, Gleason, Mattson, Panzarella, Senkbeil and possibly Hill.

      G: Dell, Eidsness, Maris.

Did Brock Nelson’s injury prevent him from getting an invite? Odd he wouldn’t get one with the way he played down the stretch last year.
