UW’s Smith signs

Wisconsin’s top-scoring forward from last season has turned pro.

Craig Smith signed a three-year contract with the Nashville Predators, giving up his final two years of college eligibility. Smith previously had said he would return to the Badgers.

The Madison native tallied 19 goals and 43 points last season.
