Marto Inks With Jets’ Organization

Jake Marto has become the fifth player from UND’s senior class to sign a pro contract.

Marto has signed a one-year, two-way AHL-ECHL contract with the Winnipeg Jets’ organization. Winnipeg’s AHL affiliate is the St. John’s IceCaps. The ECHL affiliate is the Colorado Eagles.

The only unsigned players from the senior class are Derrick LaPoint and Evan Trupp.

Good for him! I hope all goes well for him- and wouldn’t it be great to someday see him and Jason playing for the Jets! He has alway worked hard and it’s been fun watching him through the years! Go get ’em Marto!

Hopefully he ends up with the Eagles since its only a 10 minute drive for me to their arena

Nice to hear good things happen to nicer people! Good luck Jake! I wonder if Trupp will have the same problem getting picked up that Duncan had because of his size?
