The seniors graduate

The three seniors on the UND men’s team all received their degrees on Saturday afternoon.

Ben Blood and Mario Lamoureux both finished off their undergraduate degrees. Brad Eidsness earned his master’s in business administration (he earned his undergrad last year).

Pierre-Paul Lamoureux, who has helped out with the team the last two years, also earned his degree.

On the women’s side, two juniors earned their degrees. Jocelyne Lamoureux earned her undergraduate degree, as did goaltender Jorid Dagfinrud. Both players will be back next season for their senior years.

Academics aren’t analyzed too closely by fans, but it’s a huge day for the athletes, who have completed a major step in setting themselves up for life after hockey.

  1. This achievement is greater than winning a National Championship and/or any other personal accolade awarded to athletes. Congratulations to these fine gentlemen and women for their achievements off the ice. GO SIOUX!!!

  2. Congrats to the seniors on their accomplishments, especially Eids. Also nice to keep those graduation rates up.

  3. I totally agree with the first post. Cograts to all. Graduation and being a good UND citizien, etc out weighs championships as far as I’m concerned. I can’t even imagine how hard these players and all athletes have to work to keep up with studies while keeping their skills at a high level. I did not even work during school and found keeping up was hard work.

  4. Evan Trupp was also in the program saying that he was graduating, I didn’t see him walk but he was in the progam.
