Duncan, Lamoureux And Others Sign In Europe

A handful of former UND players have signed contracts to play in Europe next season.

Ryan Duncan, who spent 2011-12 with the Portland Pirates in the AHL, will re-join the Salzburg Red Bulls in the Austria Elite League. Duncan played two years with Salzburg before returning to play with Portland.

One of the goalies he will be shooting on next season may know “his spot.” Jean-Philippe Lamoureux has signed to play for Villacher in the Austrian league. Lamoureux played 45 games for Olimpija Ljubljana last season, posting a 2.92 goals-against average and a .922 save percentage.

Brent Davidson is moving from Sweden to Denmark next season. After a strong season in Boras, Sweden, one in which he moved from forward to defense, Davidson has signed with Herning in the Danish league.

Ryan Martens is switching teams in the same German league that he lit up for 76 points in 36 games. Martens played for Dortmund last season and led them in scoring. He’ll be playing with Erding this season.

Rastislav Spirko is switching teams in the KHL – the Russian Superleague. Spirko has signed with Avtomobilist Yekateringburg. He had 18 points in 53 games for Lev Poprad last season.

Thanks for the update on the former Fighting Sioux players. Is Jordan Parise still playing, if so where?
