UND 1, MSU-Mankato 0 — Jocelyne Lamoureux (Monique Lamoureux) 18:51. Monique pulls up at the blue line and spots Jocelyne cutting toward the net from the right circle. Monique sends a perfect pass to her sister, who dangles two defensemen and buries it top shelf with the backhand.

Second period

No scoring.

Third period

UND 2, MSU-Mankato 0 — Andrea Dalen (Tori Williams, Mary Loken) 2:48. Williams gets a point shot around a forechecker into the high slot, where Dalen makes a fantastic re-direct for her first of the season.

UND 2, MSU-Mankato 1 — Tracy McCann (Danielle Scholze) 10:37. MSU converts a turnover into a goal as McCann gets the puck in the left circle, looks off a pass and shoots five-hole.

UND 2, MSU-Mankato 2 — Lauren Smith (Tracy McCann) 13:49 (pp). The Mavericks enter the zone 3-on-2. McCann sends a pass to the slot area, where Smith swats it in as she’s falling to the ice to tie the game.

MSU-Mankato 3, UND 2 — Lauren Smith (Tracy McCann, Nicole Germaine) 19:22. MSU-Mankato gets an offensive zone faceoff and Smith scores on a scramble in the crease area.

  1. Wow! did the team have the flu…sure glad Coach I’s contract renewed, so we can continue to lose games that they should win.

    • Shouldn’t be any redemption they should be going for the sweep. Talent wise Mankato isn’t even close but obviously heart can take a team a long ways.
