Gameday Final: UND 4, Duluth 3, OT

TONIGHT’S VIEWING: MidcoSN, FCS Central, DirecTV 608. Webcast at Gothberg in goal tonight, Parks and Gleason are out, Chyzyk and Panzarella are in. All lines are mixed up. Live chat and full lines are below.

First period

Duluth 1, UND 0 — Jake Hendrickson (Dan DeLisle, Keegan Flaherty) 2:51. Flaherty throws a shot on net from a really bad angle, but Gothberg leaves the rebound in the slot. DeLisle takes a shot that Gothberg saves, but Hendrickson is there to put in the rebound.

Duluth 1, UND 1 — Danny Kristo (Dillon Simpson, Corban Knight) 3:04. Simpson’s point shot goes off of traffic and to Kristo in the left circle. Kristo flips a backhand off of McNeely’s blocker and in to tie the game.

Duluth 2, UND 1 — Mike Seidel (Chris Casto, Tony Cameranesi) 3:36. Seidel re-directs Casto’s point shot five-hole on Gothberg.

Duluth 3, UND 1 — Tony Cameranesi (Wade Bergman, Mike Seidel) 14:27 (pp). Duluth moves the puck well on the power play again and it comes to Cameranesi at the bottom of the left circle. Cameranesi walks it to the crease and gets Gothberg to go down before moving it around him for the goal.

Second period

Duluth 3, UND 2 — Derek Forbort (Mark MacMillan, Connor Gaarder) 6:38 (pp). Forbort snipes a point shot with Gaarder providing the screen to make it a one-goal game.

Third period

Duluth 3, UND 3 — Mark MacMillan (Danny Kristo, Corban Knight) 5:53. UND scores in transition to tie the game. Knight leaves a drop pass for Kristo who looks wide open in the slot. Kristo draws everyone’s attention with a fake shot and dishes to MacMillan who has a wide open net to look at.

UND 4, Duluth 3 — Mark MacMillan (Danny Kristo) 4:26. UND doesn’t have much going during the third period or OT, but Kristo makes a nifty play in the left circle to feed MacMillan, who blasts a one-timer past McNeely.

WHY does DirecTv not broadcast the game in Fargo??? Wouldn’t the advertisers like the game to be broadcast in Fargo???
