Central Scouting releases midterm rankings

The NHL’s Central Scouting Bureau released its midterm rankings for the 2013 NHL Draft and there are three UND recruits on the list.

Defenseman Keaton Thompson of Devils Lake is the highest-rated recruit at No. 51. BCHL forward Adam Tambellini is right behind him at No. 62 and Grand Forks native Luke Johnson is at No. 78.

Thompson currently plays for the U.S. Under-18 team. Tambellini was just traded from the Vernon Vipers to the Surrey Eagles. Johnson plays for the Lincoln Stars in the USHL. All three are eligible to come to college next season (Thompson accelerated his education).

Two other notables on the list include Thief River Falls defenseman Chris Forney (No. 168) and Bismarck Century defenseman Alec Rauhauser (No. 196). Both players are uncommitted.

College Hockey Inc. did a great job compiling all of the college-eligible players on the list. Check that out here.

  1. Tambellini now plays for the Surrey Eagles of the BCHL. He was traded a few days ago and has played in two games this far (has 7 points, I believe)

  2. Brad,
When players are drafted, could you note that(round and #) next to their birth year on the side of the blog?

    Much appreciated
