Gameday Final: UND 2, Bemidji St. 2, Tie

TONIGHT’S VIEWING: The game is NOT on DirecTV. It is on FCS Central and MidcoSN. There is NO free webstream, you can buy a webcast at Lineup notes: UND going with the same lineup except Gothberg starting in goal. GF native Matt Carlson in the lineup for BSU. Full lines and live chat are below.

First period

Bemidji State 1, UND 0 — Phil Brewer (Markus Gerbrandt, Mitch Cain) 3:23. Cain dishes the puck from the corner to the end line, where Gerbrandt makes a great backhand feed to Brewer in the slot. Brewer snipes the corner of the net to give BSU the lead.

Second period

Bemidji State 1, UND 1 — Mitch MacMillan (Connor Gaarder, Joe Gleason) 4:10. Gleason dishes to Gaarder, who gains the line on the right wing and sends a pass all the way over to the left wing for Mitch, who skates it to the circle and snipes one far side.

Bemidji State 2, UND 1 — Danny Mattson (Sam Rendle, Cory Ward) 12:27. Rendle tries to hold the puck in the zone and just throws one toward the slot area. Mattson is the only one standing there and tips it past Gothberg.

Third period

Bemidji State 2, UND 2 — Jordan Schmaltz (Carter Rowney, Rocco Grimaldi) 8:37 (pp). Rowney gets the puck to Schmaltz, who is walking down the high slot. Schmaltz rips one off the post and in to tie the game.

  1. Of fan

As an alum and life time fan I have to say that we are so fortunate to have the tv coverage that we do. I can remember when here in MN the only choice that we had was to watch the gofs, it is nice having the choice. But, I have to say, that I an really tired of the blond chick! I cannot understand how she gets on the air. Her interviewing skills suffer and her cozy first name style lacks professionalism. She might be the nicest person and am confident that she is, but given ND’s first class operation….well enough said.
