First period

UND 1, Michigan Tech 0 — Dillon Simpson 12:13. Grimaldi tries a backhand wraparound attempt and it goes to the circle, where a Tech player gets his stick on it and tries to push it out of the zone. Simpson intercepts the pass and blasts one home.

Second period

UND 2, Michigan Tech 0 — Corban Knight (Danny Kristo, Derek Forbort) 4:45. Furne is playing defense and Knight attacks him on a rush up the left wing. Knight makes a great move to dip around Furne, then slips a shot five-hole on Copley. It’s Knight’s first goal in eight games.

UND 3, Michigan Tech 0 — Carter Rowney (Rocco Grimaldi, Andrew MacWilliam) 9:24. Grimaldi gains the zone and pulls up just inside the blue line, walks it across the to the center of the ice as traffic mounts in front of the net. He launches it and Rowney tips it home.

UND 4, Michigan Tech 0 — Mitch MacMillan (Connor Gaarder, Derek Forbort) 13:54. Gaarder circles the net and makes a backhand feed to the slot area, where Mitch one-times it high into the open side of the net.

UND 5, Michigan Tech 0 — Colten St. Clair (Joe Gleason) 16:23 (sh). UND is skating 3-on-5 when Gleason blocks a shot to center ice. St. Clair hustles out of the box, picks up a loose puck and makes a forehand-backhand move to score a shorthanded goal.

Third period

UND 6, Michigan Tech 0 — Brendan O’Donnell (Corban Knight) 16:45. O’Donnell battles for the puck behind the net, throws one in front and it banks off the goalie and in.

  1. Brad said before/ really like you guys running comments of all games just great. I think both goalies have played well this year, but somebody (coach) better tell the kid from TRF to quit leaving the net so far away and seems to relax and get burned on easy goals like the one fri nite, Jack

      I hope one of the players kept the puck for Tate! That’s a big commitment to make from a non-scholly player so I hope he is rewarded some way. It’s too bad Hak couldnt have made some more playing time for Tate. He earned it!
