U.S. wins World Championship gold

The Lamoureux twins have another gold medal.

Thanks to Team USA’s 3-2 win over Canada on Tuesday night in Ottawa, the Jocelyne and Monique Lamoureux will return to Grand Forks with gold from the IIHF Women’s World Championship. It is the third World Championship gold for the Lamoureuxs.

Warroad’s Gigi Marvin and Roseau’s Sarah Erickson also will be bringing home gold.

The game was probably a good preview of what’s expected to be the gold medal game at the Sochi Games in February.
