Chorney re-signs with Blues

Former UND standout defenseman Taylor Chorney has re-signed with the St. Louis Blues, inking a one-year, two-way deal.

Chorney has played 61 games in the NHL, but spent all of last season playing for St. Louis’ top minor league affiliate, the Peoria Rivermen of the AHL. He had four goals and 24 points in 73 games for the Rivermen.

Chorney previously played for the Edmonton Oilers, who drafted him in the second round in 2005.

Chorney played three seasons at UND from 2005-08, helping the team to three Frozen Fours and earning All-American honors.
