UND 1, Manitoba 0 — Drake Caggiula (Mark MacMillan, Rocco Grimaldi) 10:23. UND’s Grimaldi chips a puck out of the zone and it is played poorly by the Bisons D. MacMillan leads the two-on-one and perfectly dishes it to Caggiula for the goal.

UND 2, Manitoba 0 — Michael Parks 11:38. Parks gets behind the D, but has a Bisons player on his back as he goes hard to the net. Parks moves it to his forehand at the last second and slips it five-hole.

Second period

No scoring.

Third period

UND 3, Manitoba 0 — Luke Johnson 3:26 (sh). Johnson wins a battle and breaks away from a Bisons defender. Johnson bears down on the goalie, moves the puck to his forehand and shoots back short side for the goal.

  2. after watching the game, I am even more excited for the season. Thought all and all players looked pretty good…. boy is Johnson the real deal! Out of all the D, I wasn’t that impressed with Mattson’s play…. maybe I am too hard on him, but he isn’t as sharp with the puck as I think he could/should be. Great start though!
