St. Clair out roughly six weeks

UND will be without forward Colten St. Clair until roughly Christmas.

St. Clair sustained a left leg injury Saturday in UND’s 3-1 loss to St. Cloud State. He left the ice with the assistance of his teammates and didn’t put weight on his left leg.

It’s too early to give an exact timetable on his return, but the current estimate is roughly six weeks, which would take UND to Christmas break.

The loss hurts UND’s fourth line, which had been more effective with St. Clair there. It also hurts the penalty kill. St. Clair was a key player on the PK unit that’s currently ranked No. 1 in the nation.

  1. Too bad. I really like the way St. Clair plays. We will miss him in the lineup, especially on PK.
