TONIGHT’S VIEWING INFO: No TV. Webcast at Lineup notes: Brendan O’Donnell (inj) and Gage Ausmus are out, Mitch MacMillan and Paul LaDue are in. Cichy moved to second line with Balisy for WMU. Full lines and live chat are below.

First period

Western Michigan 1, UND 0 — Kenney Morrison (Chase Balisy, Nolan LaPorte) 4:44 (pp). After a draw in the WMU zone, the Broncos come out on a three-on-two rush. Balisy finds the trailer Morrison, who snaps one stick side on Gothberg.

Western Michigan 1, UND 1 — Dillon Simpson (Luke Johnson, Jordan Schmaltz) 8:24 (pp). Johnson tries a shot from the left circle. It goes wide, hits the end wall and rebounds out to the right circle, where Simpson pinches in and scores his second of the year.

UND 2, Western Michigan 1 — Paul LaDue (Keaton Thompson, Andrew Panzarella) 16:45. LaDue, at the point, recognizes that Balisy doesn’t have a stick and forces the issue, getting a point shot past him. It appears to hit the stick of a WMU defenseman and go in.

Second period

UND 3, Western Michigan 1 — Rocco Grimaldi (Drake Caggiula, Luke Johnson) 6:55. Grimaldi scores another highlight goal, using his speed to create space, dangling through defenders in the slot and flipping a backhand at the net. The puck somehow bounced through Slubowski and rolled across the goal line. Slubowski pulled for Hafner after the goal.

Third period

UND 3, Western Michigan 2 — Justin Kovacs (Nolan LaPorte, Dennis Brown 16:34 (pp). The Broncos take advantage of a late power play as LaPorte finds Kovacs in the left circle and Kovacs snipes one to make it a one-goal game.
