UND women knock off UW

The UND women’s team wasn’t rusty after its Christmas break.

UND knocked off No. 2 Wisconsin 4-1 on Saturday in Madison, ending the Badgers’ 16-game unbeaten streak and 12-game home winning streak.

Michelle Karvinen, Susanna Tapani, Layla Marvin and Shannon Kaiser scored for UND, which improved to 13-4-2.

UND became the first team to score four goals on the Badgers in 29 games — a stretch that dates back to January of last season.
